Baker Electric served as the electrical contractor for the new construction of the 40,000-square-foot NCTD SPRINTER Maintenance Facility, a critical infrastructure project supporting the operations of North County Transit District’s light rail system in Escondido, California.
Strategically located near the Escondido Transit Center, the facility serves as the central hub for SPRINTER train maintenance, storage, and dispatch operations. In addition to housing train servicing and fueling stations, the facility includes dedicated areas for train washing, as well as main dispatch, security, and administrative offices.
Designed for operational efficiency and centralized functionality, the facility enhances the reliability and long-term performance of the SPRINTER line while supporting NCTD’s growing transit needs across North San Diego County.
