As part of the Southwestern College Facilities Master Plan (2018), this project redevelops the southeast portion of campus with the construction of a new 35,000-square-foot Facilities Operations, Maintenance, and Grounds Complex, consisting of three new buildings and associated site improvements. The complex consolidates campus operations into a centralized, strategically located service hub—separated from student activity zones yet easily accessed via the new Ring Road.
The project includes the re-alignment of campus access roads and installation of underground utilities, including electrical, water, sewer, stormwater, and fire services, designed to support both current and future development. A new roadway will maintain vital connectivity between the northeast and southwest corners of the campus, and all existing site improvements within the construction zone will be removed and rough-graded to prepare for future increments.
This modernization effort enhances campus efficiency, minimizes disruptions to student life, and supports long-term infrastructure goals outlined in the College’s master plan.
