The new 113,801-square-foot, two-story Instructional Complex 1 at Southwestern College addresses the growing demand for modern, flexible instructional space. Designed to foster active learning and interdisciplinary collaboration, the facility includes lecture classrooms, hands-on active learning environments, class labs, a planetarium, faculty offices, and spaces dedicated to peer-to-peer collaboration and project-based work. The building also features a designated University Center to support shared use between the District and partner four-year university programs.

CVESD Village3 Elementary School
Project Description

This project involves the new construction of a two-story, 59,590-square-foot elementary school designed to support the expanding community of Chula Vista. The scope includes the development of a new classroom building and a multi-purpose facility, along with interior improvements, utility infrastructure, and related site enhancements. The school's thoughtful design emphasizes natural light, the use of organic materials, and integrated safety features to create a welcoming and secure learning environment.

Snapdragon Stadium
Project Description

Grossmont College 12kV Service Replacement
Project Description

Baker Electric installed a new 12kV power supply to the active Grossmont Community College campus. This installation also included a new infrastructure loop providing power conduits and cabling to multiple buildings on campus, as well as 13 manholes with a conduit system. The scope also required regrade and replacement of 1,500 feet of campus roadways.

Borrego Springs Unified School Distric
Project Description

Borrego Springs Unified School District was looking to add solar to both their High School and Elementary School in Borrego Springs, California.

Baker Electric was able to install a 792-panel renewable energy system made up of a carport structure and shade structure to offset the energy consumption of their facilities. That means the district will have lower operating costs and a lower carbon footprint within the community.
